A Hub of Community Spirit
This coming Saturday, July 13th at 11am, The White Rabbit Market will present Big Dog Rescue with a $300 donation, as a result of last week’s enchanting story time with author Gabrielle Smith. She believes that every child deserves a book and does not charge for her books or the wonderful readings, but instead asks that the host of the event make a donation to the charity of their choice. The White Rabbit Market chose Tallahassee Big Dog Rescue as the charity for this reading.
Adoptable Pets on Site
Starting at 11 AM, Big Dog Rescue will bring a few of their adoptable dogs, including Luther and Hope, to The White Rabbit Market. Visitors can meet these lovable pets in person and view their adoption profiles by clicking their photos below. Big Dog Rescue follows a foster-based model, where dogs live with foster parents until they find their forever homes. This event offers a unique opportunity to interact with the dogs and learn more about the adoption process.
Big Dog Rescue’s Mission
Big Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from abuse, abandonment, euthanasia, or natural disasters. Most of their animals come from area shelters, where they face euthanasia if not adopted. By taking in these animals, Big Dog Rescue gives them a second chance at life. They are always in need of foster parents, and interested individuals can find more information on their website.

Fur Parents Too
Store owners John and Robby Hinson, both passionate pet lovers, adopted their two dogs from shelters and even feature them as part of the sales staff on their website. Their mission is not only to create a beautiful retail space but also to do good and give back to the community. This dedication is evident in the numerous events and partnerships they undertake, aimed at enriching Quincy and supporting local causes.
A Ripple of Positivity
Through events like these, The White Rabbit Market and Gabrielle Smith exemplify how small actions can create ripples of positivity throughout a community. By fostering a love of reading, celebrating local talent, and supporting charitable causes, they are not just enhancing Quincy—they are inspiring it. Their efforts demonstrate that doing good in the community is a story worth telling again and again.
